Summer Skills Boosters at Oak Learners are intensive, one-week workshop experiences for students from Grades 1–12 in a variety of subject areas, including:
- literacy
- numeracy
- science
- study skills
- essay writing
- executive functioning
- computer skills, programming, and coding
Through hands-on practice, assessment, and careful scaffolding, participants will master key skills that can be integrated into the classroom. Taught by qualified and experienced OCT teachers, each day will include 2 hours of learning, with nutrition and wellness breaks integrated throughout, in a small-class learning environment with a MAXIMUM of 6 students per class!
Primary Students – Entering Grades 1-3 in September 2024
- Primary Literacy – July 2 – 5, 9-11am
- Primary Numeracy – July 2 – 5, 1-3pm
- Back-to-School Primer – Aug 19th – 23rd, 9-11am
Junior Students – Entering Grades 4-6 in September 2024
- Junior Literacy – July 8 – 12, 9-11am
- Junior Numeracy – July 8 – 12, 1-3pm
Intermediate Students – Entering Grades 6-8 in September 2024
- Computer Skills/Coding – July 15-19, 9-11am
- Executive Functioning – July 22 – 26, 9-11am
- Study Skills – July 22- 26, 1-3pm
- Intermediate Math – July 29 – Aug 2, 1-3pm
High School Students – Entering Grades 9-12 in September 2024
- Essay Writing – July 15 – 19, 9-11am
- Senior Literacy – August 6 – 9, 9-11am
- Computer Skills/Coding – July 15 – 19, 1-3pm
- High School Science Primer – July 29 – Aug 2, 9-11am

Kelly Farrell is the Founder and Director of Oak Learners. She is dedicated to supporting learners of all ages and abilities reach their goals and love the learning journey.
