Get your hands ready to hold a pencil again with a 5-day intensive handwriting workshop. Learn techniques to make printing or cursive easier and more natural and develop confidence in your writing skills.
Starts on August 27th and ends on August 31st. From 9am to 12:30pm each day.
This intensive 5-day writing workshop is designed to provide tips and tricks to help students through the writing process and get them off to a good start before school begins again. Each class will explore a different style of writing and introduce students to graphic organizers, vocabulary tips and idea generating structures. Real-world scenarios often call on children to respond to challenges. The Stay Safe! program teaches applicable and age-appropriate skills, while increasing and reinforcing a youth’s capacity to improve his or her own safety. The Babysitting course, refreshed and revised, now has a greater emphasis on First Aid skills. The Canadian Red Cross Babysitting course covers everything from managing difficult behaviours to essential content on leadership and professional conduct as a babysitter. Babysitting promises to deepen and enhance the responsibility that older youth feel when caring for younger children.
