Pre-teen Yoga Class (ages 9-12)
Class Overview: It’s time to get ready for some pre-teen/tween Yoga Classes that’ll get your body and mind moving! We’ll teach you the art of mindfulness, help you bust that stress, build your muscles, and balance your life. Plus, we’ll sprinkle some self-love into your practice, so you can become a true yoga superstar.
In this class, students will:
❁ Explore a variety of movement principles through music and sound.
❁ Build an understanding of how their body moves through space
❁ Strengthen core gross-motor movement skills through dance and yoga
❁ Develop an understanding of the importance of body awareness
❁ Build an understanding of how Yoga poses and breathing help build strength, stability and flexibility in our bodies
❁ Build an understanding of how breathing changes the way our body moves
Things to note:
❁ The class is 60 minutes and, don’t worry, we’ve got your yoga mat covered.
❁ Just bring a refreshing water bottle or electrolyte drink to keep you hydrated!
Scheduling:
Classes will take place at the Royal York campus on Saturdays from 12:30 – 1:30 PM

✿ Week 4: Saturday, April 6, 2024
✿ Week 5: Saturday, April 13, 2024
✿ Week 6: Saturday, April 20, 2024
** There will be no classes on March 9, 16, or 30.
Fees: $90 per 6-week session.
* Note that fees will be prorated weekly for new sign-ups until the class is full.
