Oak Learners Launches the 2024 Summer Skill Boosters Program

Summer Skills Boosters at Oak Learners are intensive, one-week workshop experiences for students from Grades 1–12 in a variety of subject areas, including:
  • literacy  
  • numeracy 
  • science
  • study skills 
  • essay writing 
  • executive functioning
  • computer skills, programming, and coding 

Through hands-on practice, assessment, and careful scaffolding, participants will master key skills that can be integrated into the classroom. Taught by qualified and experienced OCT teachers, each day will include 2 hours of learning, with nutrition and wellness breaks integrated throughout, in a small-class learning environment with a MAXIMUM of 6 students per class!

Primary Students – Entering Grades 1-3 in September 2024

  • Primary Literacy – July 2 – 5, 9-11am
  • Primary Numeracy – July 2 – 5, 1-3pm
  • Back-to-School Primer – Aug 19th – 23rd, 9-11am

Junior Students – Entering Grades 4-6 in September 2024

  • Junior Literacy – July 8 – 12, 9-11am
  • Junior Numeracy – July 8 – 12, 1-3pm

Intermediate Students – Entering Grades 6-8 in September 2024

  • Computer Skills/Coding – July 15-19, 9-11am
  • Executive Functioning – July 22 – 26, 9-11am
  • Study Skills – July 22- 26, 1-3pm
  • Intermediate Math – July 29 – Aug 2, 1-3pm

High School Students – Entering Grades 9-12 in September 2024

  • Essay Writing – July 15 – 19, 9-11am
  • Senior Literacy – August 6 – 9, 9-11am
  • Computer Skills/Coding – July 15 – 19, 1-3pm
  • High School Science Primer – July 29 – Aug 2, 9-11am
  • Senior Numeracy Skills – August 6 – 9, 1-3pm
  • Executive Functioning – August 12 – 16, 9-11am
  • Study Skills – August 12 – 16, 1-3pm
  • Back-to-School Primer – August 19th – 23rd, 1-3pm
  • High School Students – Entering Grades 9-12 in September 2024
