Changes at Oak Learners

Aug 31, 2025 | Announcements.

As we prepare for the upcoming 2025-26 academic year, we want to share an important update and change to our Middle School programming. First and foremost, we thank you for your continued trust and support, and we remain committed to delivering the high-quality, personalized education you expect from Oak Learners.

We have made the strategic decision to reunite all Oak Learners Micro School classes and enrichment programming together under one roof at the Royal York Campus to best support our students and programs for the 2025-26 school year. All students currently registered for the Lake Shore Campus will be welcomed into classes at our Royal York Campus in September. This change allows us to strengthen our community and centralize resources while continuing to prioritize student well-being and academic success.

We understand that a stable teaching environment is important for your child’s success. That’s why we want to highlight the fact that our dedicated teaching team at the Royal York Campus remains consistent and committed. Our returning elementary teachers, including Karen Stern, OCT, Meriam Rekkas, OCT, and Audrey Schatz, OCT, will continue to provide the exceptional learning experience you’ve come to expect from Oak Learners. Their commitment ensures a seamless transition and continued excellence for all our students. Mishka Khilnani, a valued member of our community, is moving on to pursue other career opportunities. We are grateful for her time with us and wish her every success in her new endeavors.

We are incredibly excited about this next chapter and the opportunity to build an even stronger, more vibrant learning environment for your children. We look forward to a year of growth, shared success, and new possibilities ahead.

Two students from Oak Learners have their artwork featured at this year’s Tis the Season Art Show at the Assembly Hall at Humber College. Featuring art created by students from local schools, the works in this exhibition speaks to the seasonal changes from autumn to winter, like snowfalls and long periods of darkness, and the cultural traditions they help shape. The exhibition is open from November 19 to December 18, 2024.
