The holiday season is here and what better way to enjoy it than creating beautiful crafts for you and your family. Whether you are decorating your trees or simply decorating your homes, Popsicle Stick Snowflake Ornaments are a great holiday staple for all ages.

Materials Needed for Popsicle Stick Snowflake Ornaments:

Popsicle sticks
Paint (optional) – can opt for coloured popsicle sticks
Stickers
Ribbon
Rhinestones or glitter
Glue gun

Steps:

1. Gather four popsicle sticks and using your hot glue gun, glue them together in the shape of a snowflake.

2. Cut a strand of ribbon and glue it to the back of your snowflake for hanging.

3. Paint your popsicle sticks with the colour of your choosing. Allow paint to dry for a few hours.

4. Using your rhinestones, glitter and/or stickers, feel free to decorate your snowflake however you’d like. If you have additional art materials, have fun with it!

Happy crafting everyone!

At Oak Learners Before and After School Enrichment Program we explore a range of activities. I absolutely love doing art with the kids! I get to teach them about new materials, how to use art materials properly to keep them working well for longer, and information about the projects and topics we are working on. I love the exploration, creativity, and learning opportunities that art provides.
