Oak Learners is a not-for-profit Micro School and Learning Centre that blends the benefits of small class sizes (6:1 ratio), daily outdoor learning, and a richly arts-enriched curriculum to nurture each child’s unique potential. Our approach supports all learning exceptionalities through personalized, experiential, and STEAM-integrated instruction, empowering students to flourish academically, creatively, and emotionally. From Full-time or Part-time private schooling to enriching programs in Tutoring, Music and Day Camps, Oak Learners is where curiosity grows wild and children feel at home.

Not only are we an innovative not-for-profit learning centre, but we are also a team of leaders in the community, working to ensure all students are supported and cared for.

Student Visits to Lakeshore Grounds Interpretive Center in February 2024
Oak Learners Middle School students had the opportunity to visit the Lakeshore Grounds Interpretive Center at Humber college to learn about the contributions of Black Canadians as well as the story of Grace, a former resident of the Lakeshore Psychiatric Hospital. These opportunities help our students understand history through unique stories and experiences that cannot be found in a textbook.
Oak Learners’ students visit the Ontario Science Center
On February 21, 2024, the entire student body of Oak Learners shared a visit to the Ontario Science Center. Students from Kindergarten through Grade Eight were accompanied by teachers and several parent volunteers while they explored and experienced science in a whole new way!
Physical Play, Games and Student Engagement
Engaging children with activities and games like ball games, marital arts, and water sports can be a helpful solution that keeps students healthy physically and can keep them more engaged in the classroom
Oak Learners Holiday Concert 2023
Oak Learners was proud to present our Holiday Concert for the 2023 Season! Our students from all grade levels performed, and the concert also featured solo performances from students who participate in Private Music Lessons at Oak Learners.
Middle School Student Enjoy a Field Trip to the AGO
On December 19, 2023, our Middle School students from the Oak Learners Lake Shore Campus visited the Art Gallery of Ontario. They spent the day exploring the galleries, in particular the extraordinary works of Keith Haring.
The Best Winter Clothing for Kids, from Head to Toe!
This winter we have a lot to look forward to! From exploring snow hills to ice crystals to making igloos and snow angels. Help your little learners stay warm and dry this winter so they can continue learning and having fun in comfort. Outside exploration has been proven to lead to a plethora of benefits that helps your child develop crucial skills. At Oak Learners, our students are outside for extended periods of time in all winter weather: snow, rain or shine. Regardless of the forecast, we will continue encouraging our students to explore the natural world around them while pushing boundaries and taking risks.
