Welcome to Oak Learners
Creativity. Confidence. Community
Oak Learners is a not-for-profit Micro School and Learning Centre that blends the benefits of small class sizes (6:1 ratio), daily outdoor learning, and a richly arts-enriched curriculum to nurture each child’s unique potential. Our approach supports all learning exceptionalities through personalized, experiential, and STEAM-integrated instruction — empowering students to flourish academically, creatively, and emotionally. From full-time or par-time private schooling to enriching programs in tutoring, music and day camps, Oak Learners is where curiosity grows wild and children feel at home.

A word from: Our Director
“At Oak Learners, we strive to create an engaging curriculum that is progressive, interdisciplinary, and most importantly student-driven. Not only are we an innovative not-for-profit learning centre, but we are also a team of leaders in the community, working to ensure all students are supported and cared for.
Raising resilient and successful children certainly does take a village! I love working together with parents to support their child’s education; in a true partnership between the school and families. Communication between home and school is paramount to a child’s success and we strive to demonstrate this value on a daily basis.”
Kelly Farrell

OUR VALUES

Honesty & Transparency in all communication.

OUR APPROACH
Oak Learners offers a Reggio Emilia Inspired Micro School for students JK through Grade 8. Our curriculum is progressive, interdisciplinary, inquiry-based programming in a student-driven, teacher-facilitated, alternative learning environment
Progressive Muscle Relaxation
Children have just as much stress, frustration, and/or anxiety as most adults but are not able to understand or control it in the moment. During moments of stress and anxiety children tend to tense up certain muscle groups unknowingly and have a challenging time relaxing them. This can lead to the children being in a state of high anxiety for longer periods of time.
