HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY! 🍀

St Patrick’s Day is here! What better way to celebrate than to make your very own Leprechaun TRAP?!

You will need the following:

  • Construction paper
  • Pipe Cleaners
  • Lucky Charms/Gold Chocolate
  • Stickers
  • Glue
  • Shamrocks: You can use shamrock stickers or draw your own on glitter paper.

Catch a Leprechaun!

Bait: Lucky charms or gold coins are the perfect bait for your leprechaun!

A ladder: You can build a ladder using green pipe cleaners or Lego. You can even use popsicle sticks and paint them green!

A trapping mechanism (Where your leprechaun will be trapped): You can create a hole for your leprechaun to fall into or you can use a jar or a door to trap them!

Lastly, Decorations: You can use green construction paper, green glitter and even a rainbow to bring some colour into your leprechaun trap!

Finally! You can build your leprechaun trap! There are so many different ways that you can get creative with this activity and regardless of the bait you use, surely, the leprechaun will be caught by you!

Here’s an example of my favourite method to catch a leprechaun below:

And here’s another idea:

For reference, this idea was inspired by thebestideasforkids.
