Oak Learners and the Community

Apr 16, 2021 | Music

Oak Learners provide their students with the opportunity of adventuring within the community. They visit places within the community such as parks close to the school, the library and they go down by the waterfront! This is a great opportunity for children to explore the community to see what it has to offer and what life is like in the city. Being in the outdoors allows children to explore nature while also keeping their mind relaxed and at ease! This time could allow for a much-needed break which will support children’s overall well-being! Oak Learners is always providing children with a wide variety of activities for them to participate in and feel safe while doing it!

“Nature is a tool to get children to experience not just the wider world, but themselves”

Music has been used as a form of expression for centuries. It is a powerful tool that can convey emotions and feelings in both a verbal and non-verbal setting. Learning to play an instrument allows individuals to express themselves in a limitless creative way, providing a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment. This is especially important for children and teenagers who may struggle expressing themselves or have many stressors and anxiety in their life.
