At Oak Learners, we aim to nurture growth by developing individuality and promoting community. Mindfulness and self-expression are at the heart of our centre. Oak Learners offers a creative learning atmosphere, working with your child’s unique learning style to inspire their strengths and interests.
Kindergarten – The Oak Learners Kindergarten program lays a strong foundation for an enriching educational journey. Children may attend once, twice or five days per week. Experienced educators spend time exploring literacy, numeracy, science and so much more with children through a natural and inquiry-based program based on the Reggio-Emilia philosophy of learning.
Grades 1-3 – Each day brings new learning opportunities through an integrated and immersive approach to education in the primary grades. Ontario Curriculum content and skill achievement guidelines are covered and enriched through a holistic approach to learning in a project-based and mixed-grade inquiry learning model for elementary education.
Grades 4-6 – Our goal with Junior students is to inspire and create an authentic curriculum to provide a balanced learning environment, nurturing children’s natural curiosity about their world with student-centered experiences. Students are encouraged to participate in real-world projects that expand their circle of influence to their community and the rest of the world.
Bridge the Gap is our unique, part-time day school program, ideal for students who are homeschooled or having trouble in the public school system, or who are just looking for exciting alternative learning options.
