Firstly, I want to COMMEND all parents and guardians for being amazing and stepping into this new digital world of emergency distance learning. This has not been an easy process, and I want to begin by saying a sincerest THANK YOU for all that you are doing for your child! I want to remind you that this is EMERGENCY REMOTE LEARNING, not simply online learning, and what you are doing is great.
Many teachers are opting to use the Google Classroom platform to continue learning.
Here are 5 tips to surviving Google Classroom.
1- You can access Google Classroom at this link: classroom.google.com.
2- The “Classwork” tab will house all your students activities. Click on each activity to see exactly what they need to do for that task. You will have to go back to that page and click SUBMIT or TURN in for the teacher to mark it as complete and give feedback.
3- The “People” tab shows all the educators and students that have access to the page.
4- The “Stream” tab is full of announcements that the teacher or students may post to or share.
5- You CAN use your ipad or apple device for Google Classroom. If you would like to do this make sure you have the following apps downloaded- Google Classroom. Google Slides, Google Docs, Google Sheets. Those are the typical apps students have been using these days.
