Oak Learners Mindfulness programs are inclusive of the whole person, mind, body and spirit, promoting a calm, focused, alert, aware and creative state of mind contributing directly to the development of cognitive, performance and executive functioning skills.
Think outside the colouring books! Mindfulness art activities have been growing in popularity recently, but the therapeutic benefits of art go beyond colouring books. Research has shown that deliberate doodling as well as sensory based art activities can improve focus, problem solving and encourage clarity of thinking.
Oak Learners now offers a 1:1 mentoring program encourages children to explore self-awareness and self-expression through artistic exploration. Oak Learners teachers work with children to explore emotions and therapeutic coping strategies for reducing stress and anxiety, increased focus and attention and overall improved mental health.
We also offer a group class which explores a wide variety of Mindful Art techniques through projects exploring self-expression and creativity. Enrollment is open and continuous.
